hail hail hail

It doesn’t matter how long it has been since DLSU was built. What matters is how it has instilled the ANIMO in every single person who has been there. DLSU may not be the oldest university in the country… but I believe, from the bottom of my heart (I am risking sounding extremely cheesy) - It is the best and it has the most heart. The building is not as big as that of the other schools. It was mighty congested today, and just IMPOSSIBLY tiring to go from one place to another. (HUMAN TRAFFIC, I TELL YOU. I CANNOT BEGIN TO EXPLAIN HOW TIRED I AM) But I, with thousands of other students, stayed for hours and hours soaking in the LaSallian spirit. And finally, when we sang the Alma Mater at the top of our lungs, I was convinced more than I’ve ever been before, it is truly amazing to bleed green and live it up.

» charmspeaker, sweetdust!: Tips for incoming seniors: Talk about exams! (Big4U)

sweetdust:

First of all, REVIEWING in a REVIEW CENTER is NOT that necessary. Although they will teach you tehniques on how to outsmart an exam, what questions may appear, or how to answer raipdly a question, you won’t be able to remember them all during your exam. Your greatest weapon is WHAT YOU LEARNED…

May I just squeeze myself in. :))

FACT: I passed the Big4U because I went to a review center. I wouldn’t have otherwise. So you really should have at least tried to because they’re really, really helpful.

If I have to rank the comprehensive difficulty of the exams, I’d have to say ACET is the hardest because of the time pressure. I’m sure it would have been easier if it were less time-bound, the English proficiency part is the worst part. Difficult, difficult. I had like 15 minutes to finish my essay… Bummer. But hey, I passed, so we’re all good. Haha! ACET would have to be followed by UPCAT, because UPCAT’s exam is extremely long. It’s not that difficult, but its questions require immense focus and comprehension, you would otherwise be confused by them and answer incorrectly. (I got accepted into Diliman, I don’t even have any idea how! :D) Then DLSUCET. DLSU’s entrance exam is varied. There’s no pattern whatsoever, which will make you a bit too anxious to answer them all quickly because you won’t sense rhythm, which may lead you to answering incorrectly. Its questions are hard but what makes it a little easier is that time seems to be so slow while you’re answering. And the rooms are cool and calm which adds to the ease. Unlike UPCAT which will either make you sweat curves, or freeze you sullen. I remember finishing the exam 10 minutes or so before the limit. You just need focus. And as for USTET… you don’t even have to review for the USTET, it’s a sure pass if you have learned about even the littlest in high school. You should be good. It’s really, really easy. :) But I mean, if you’re like me, and I find constant underestimation to be a flaw in personality, I’d still study. I did study for USTET, it was only after that I realized I didn’t even need to. :)

All four are the greatest universities in the country, and I considered them all at one point in time, but I went to DLSU because I felt it was the best university of the four. Then again, that’s just me. :)

Good luck, SENIORS! :)

» What’s it like to be a Lasallian?

We eat awesomeness for breakfast.

We go to school on motherfucking invisible jets.

We listen in class like:

We munch on gold for lunch.

Then we exercise at Enrique Razon for fun.

We fart rainbows.

We ride unicorns on Wednesdays.

And this Thursday, we’ll wear GREEN.

HAPPY 100 YEARS, DLSU!

I’m getting emotional.
