Stop hating on Jennette just because she’s upset that Nickelodeon only showed 30 seconds of her music video.
If it were you, you’d probably be upset, too. It’s almost the same thing as working really hard on that English essay that your teacher then told you they were extremely eager to mark, and that it was looking really good. Then they give it back to you, but they’ve only bothered to mark the first half, marking it with “Well done -whatever your name is spelt wrong-“
Or someone’s book only getting half published.
Of course she’s pissed off. She probably doesn’t hate Nickelodeon, or anyone that works there, but you have to understand that everyone rages about little things sometimes.
And no, she didn’t unfollow Nickelodeon, Miranda or iCarly, because she never followed them in the first place.
Whoever is just hating on Jennette for no justified reason can shove a zucchini up his/her ass, because we all know that Jennette is not a mean and selfish person that only works on Nickelodeon for the money. Did you not see her reaction at the KCA’s when iCarly won? She loves her iCarly family and everything she does for the show. And whether or not she promotes iCarly through her twitter or not is up to her. To be fair, Nathan and Miranda don’t do it much either, they only do it for the major major episodes (Most of Miranda’s are just talking about random things and song lyrics, and Nathan’s are usually about him working out or something nerdy). The show does well enough without Dan, Nathan, Miranda and Jennette promoting it- just the fans spreading the promos, sneak peeks, etc is already enough to make the show what it is now. That’s not to say that I don’t love their tweets, but it’s not compulsory that they do.
She probably doesn’t hate Miranda either, because they have actually had friendly conversation on Twitter in the past, and they do hang out (albeit with Nathan as well) off set sometimes (they’ve even said so in interviews), but she’s probably just not complete BFF’s with her. And I wouldn’t go as far as to say that Madisen doesn’t like Jennette; it’s more like she probably feels a little extremely awkward around her…well, fair enough. If your boyfriend were really really close friends with another girl, you’d probs be a bit anxious about it, too, even if you knew that the way they see each other is completely platonic.
And it also bugs me when people think that how people’s characters interact on a show is how they interact with each other off set. I don’t like Creddie very much, but I still love Miranda Cosgrove and Carly as a character by herself, because I think she’s a great actress and singer. Just because there’s the fan wars of Seddie and Creddie, doesn’t mean that people should hate on the opposing ship’s actor. I highly doubt Jennette and Miranda don’t like each other- they’re just not two peas in a pod. Jennette’s even said before in regards to their music, that even though she’s not that into pop, she’s willing to listen to Miranda’s music if Miranda listen to country. Besides, if they really hated each other, they wouldn’t have not done anything about it early on.
The only reason that Alexa Nikolas got written off Zoey 101 was because she and Jamie Lynn had legit beef off set right from the start of the series, and when it got really really bad, Alexa got written off the show, partly because their fighting was interfering with the production of the show, and because Alexa wasn’t even a major major character on the show, seeing as there were about 8-9 key characters (Zoey, Nicole, Dana, Lola, Michael, Chase, Logan, Quinn, Stacey), whereas on iCarly, it’s just Miranda, Jennette and Nathan that are the key characters, with Spencer, Mrs. Benson and Gibby as regulars. If Jennette got written off the show, that’s like. Half the comedy aspect of iCarly gone. Poof. You can’t just replace a character like Sam- she’s one of a kind. It’s just as retarded an idea of Carly being written out of the show, seeing as her name is in the name of the show. Nor do I think Jennette would stop doing something that she knows her fans love, and that she loves doing.
As for retweeting her fan’s comments, she’s not trying to say that she’s the number 1 hot stuff, but rather trying to get people to recognize that she’s not the only one who wants the full video to be shown. A large majority of people who support her music are people who watch iCarly, so of course she’s disappointed that her fans didn’t get to see the full thing on Nickelodeon. The only reason she’s not signed to Sony or any sort of record label associated with Nickelodeon is because she sings country, which fits under Capitol Nashville.
And to be fair, while I think that Nickelodeon should really have shown the full video anyway, because Generation Love is truly an amazing song, and the video is really heart-warming, but there may be an explanation behind it that isn’t quite clear, such as Capitol Nashville only allowing Nick to show that much, because after all, they are not linked to Nickelodeon in any way.
I know I’m not majorly close with Jennette or anything, and nor are any of us fans, really, but I can only say that if it were you, you would probably be pretty damn pissed off too. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve obsessively raged about the littlest things. So yeah.
Stop hating on Jennette. She’s just a person, too.

They can’t write Jennette off the show. Sam is the crazy bitch that everyone loves more than the main character -you know, like what Blair is for Gossip Girl. The show will not work out without her. For fuck’s sake. This is not funny, I actually fear for it to actually happen… but I do know I’ll stop watching without Sam, it just wouldn’t be as fun. SEDDIE. OH, TEARS.
